AI Development at NABLAS — A Place to Continue Growing Through Challenge While Turning Ideas Into Reality

In this edition, we spoke with Harsh, a Research Engineer, about AI development at NABLAS!

What motivated you to join NABLAS?

NABLAS offers a flexible work environment where it is easy to balance personal life and work. Being able to choose remote or office work depending on the situation was a major advantage.

Additionally, the opportunity to work on R&D-based projects rather than only on implementation tasks was appealing. NABLAS allows us to take on new domains and experiment freely, which leads directly to personal growth.

Another reason was the open communication culture. I felt strongly attracted to the environment where members can share knowledge and opinions casually, and where teamwork is valued.

What are your main responsibilities, and what projects are you currently working on?

I currently work as a Research Engineer, participating in multiple projects that involve analyzing complex datasets.

In one of the current projects, we combine a wide range of internal and external data sources and conduct simulations to improve model performance through trial and error.

In the process, I propose and verify my own approaches and ideas. It is a highly stimulating environment where I can receive constructive feedback from team members and work toward better solutions together.

What aspects of your work do you find rewarding?

Since I enjoy learning new things, exploring unfamiliar topics and putting them to practical use gives me a great sense of fulfillment.

Seeing my ideas take shape through simulation results and receiving feedback that leads to improvement is very rewarding.

The workplace environment is positive, where discussions and support from team members help create better outcomes.

Is there anything you are particularly conscious of in your work?

Recently, tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini have become widely used as strong support tools for programming and data analysis.

While these tools are helpful, I try not to rely on them excessively. I believe that first thinking independently is important in order to maintain problem-solving skills and critical thinking.

In order to acquire deeper knowledge and hands-on skills, I value reading papers, researching, trying ideas through development, and analyzing outcomes myself.

What do you find attractive about working at NABLAS?

The biggest attraction is flexibility. Work schedules are highly autonomous, and everyone respects each other’s work rhythm. There are many opportunities for collaboration, and people strive toward high goals while supporting one another.

We learn from each other across teams, and I feel that the company encourages creativity and experimentation. It is an environment where ideas are welcomed and respected regardless of role or seniority.

What challenges would you like to take on moving forward?

Moving forward, I want to deepen my understanding of AI technology trends and apply that knowledge to real-world solutions.

Specifically, I would like to expand use cases that can be implemented in society and create technology that benefits many industries and people.

What kind of people would you like to work with?

I hope to work with people who enjoy learning new things, who have curiosity, and who are friendly and open-minded.

People who challenge themselves and grow together while supporting each other would be wonderful to collaborate with.
